The programme provides an opportunity to study Studio Ceramics in depth, to advance individual skills, knowledge and understanding in creative, practical, and technical aspects of the subject within a workshop and studio environment.
We offer well equipped studios with a wide range of gas, electric, oil, and wood fired (anagama) kilns, salt firing and raku are also accommodated, and an outdoor (covered) area for experimental firing processes and kiln building. There is a well stocked glaze laboratory and raw materials storage and equipment for the composition and processing of all types of clay body and glazes.
As an artist and maker you will be challenged to examine and extend your own practice, to develop your knowledge and critical understanding of the subject and its history, and to apply it in the wider professional context.

Assessment
Assessment is continuous and based on an appraisal of studio outcomes, related visual and technical research, written material, and professional and entrepreneurial skills in relation to the final project outcome(s). All students submit a Final Project Report.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testUpper second class honours degree normally required in an art and design discipline or closely related subject. Exceptional circumstances will also be considered (for instance, an honours degree in an aligned subject or appropriate additional work experience).
Acceptable English language qualification
* GCSE English Language - Grade C or above
* IELTS band 6.5 with not less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
* TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice) minimum score of 100 (Internet-based test) overall with no less than 21 in Listening, 22 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
