The Master of Management is a course, taught in English, which gives a broad overview of management domains. The programme is designed for people without a background in business, economics or management, but who wish to broaden their academic knowledge on the subject.
The Master of Management offers theoretical knowledge and scientific insights, but at the same time is geared towards practical skills and applications. Classes are given by a group of professors from both academia and the professional world in order to ensure the link between theory and practice.
This English-language programme meets the needs of young university bachelors and masters without a business degree and of professionals without a university degree to increase their managerial insights.
Knowhow of management
The programme offers Belgian and foreign participants the skills and knowhow needed for management positions in a broad array of sectors. Specifically, the programme prepares you for management positions in international companies that use English as a working language.
We offer a broad-based view of the field of business and economics. The courses are selected with an international and varied audience in mind. This implies that the courses have an international focus and that typically Belgian topics are not studied.

Extend your knowledge of managmeent, economics and business
This master aims to extend your basic knowledge of management and by direct consequence of economics and business. The master in Management is considered a valuable degree which is easily combined with all other fields of study.
Evening programme
As the master of Management is only taught during the evenings, the programme is easily accessible for working people. However, to combine a job with a fulltime study programme is quite demanding. Therefore, you are free to spread the courses over a longer period of time if you wish to.
Career opportunities
The Master of Management teaches you all the academic skills necessary to work in the management of an organisation. It opens career perspectives in areas such as marketing, finance, and logistics in the private sector, governmental institutions and non-profit organisations.

Direct access
BSc in de ingenieurswetenschappen (Applied Sciences and Engineering) from a Belgian university or an equivalent degree.
Academic Pre-master “Strategic Business Management and Marketing” granted by NHTV (Nationale Hogeschool voor Toerisme en Verkeer) Internationaal Hoger Onderwijs Breda.
Access through a preparatory programme of 12 ECTS
All university degrees, equivalent of a Flemish academic bachelor (consisting of a programme taking at least three years of study (180 ECTS) in an academic curriculum) or master degree.
Admission refused
Holders of a degree equivalent to a bachelor or a master in Business, Management or in Economic related fields are not admissible to the MSc in Management.
( We strongly advise students to have a sufficient background in quantitative methods (e.g. GMAT-score above 550).
A good command of English is required:
Students belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA*): NO proof of English proficiency required.
For students coming from outside the EEA*: proof of English proficiency is compulsory and can be documented by the the following certificates (provided by the institution):
· a) A document attesting that at least 1 year of secondary education has been completed in English;
· b) A diploma of primary education stating that English was the language of instruction;
· c) A document attesting that English is the language of instruction for several courses followed (at least 15 ECTS);
· d) A language test: only TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE are accepted.
