Department of Philosophy
This interdisciplinary program combines historical and analytical approaches to major areas of philosophical study. The department also works in close collaboration with the departments of Cognitive Science, and Political Science.
Master of Arts in Philosophy (Two Years)
This program offers training in philosophy and in the history of philosophy, along with expertise in a chosen area of research, including philosophy of the mind, philosophy of religion, philosophy of language, ethics, and empiricism.
Career Paths
Master’s degree graduates obtain positions in academia as well as in the private and public sectors. Doctoral graduates generally find employment at research institutes and universities.
