The Occupational Health and Safety Management programme is run by the Centre for Hazard and Risk Management (CHaRM) within the PMDC. CHaRM is a multidisciplinary centre that undertakes teaching and research in the management and control of risk. Our students are experienced professionals wishing to extend their academic qualifications or obtain vocationally relevant awards. Past students have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and employment sectors. The programme develops the knowledge and understanding of practitioners in the field of occupational health and safety management and is specifically designed for people in industry and regulatory authorities. It takes a broad view of management responsibilities and requirements in the respective subjects, integrating science, engineering and technology with policy, legislation and management control.
