The Analytical and Pharmaceutical Science MSc is broadly based and offers students modules covering the process from drug discovery, through pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism to formulation coupled with training in the techniques of analytical chemistry that are used to underpin the drug development cycle.

The MSc programmes in Chemistry at Loughborough are some of the few programmes in the UK that receive national recognition and funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

Careers in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, environmental management, national laboratories, regulatory authorities and instrument manufacturers in either technical or marketing functions; also in the areas of patents and product registration; or preliminary study for a PhD.

Requirements

An honours degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related subject. Other qualifications may be considered if the candidate has relevant industrial experience. Participation in individual modules is possible by arrangement.

* GCSE English Language - Grade C or above
* IELTS band 6.5 with not less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
* TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice) minimum score of 600 (paper-based test) or 100 (Internet-based test) with specific requirements for sub tests
