Cutthroat competition in virtually every sector, rapid product renewal and new technological developments, increasingly high customer requirements: it's getting harder and harder for companies to survive in a market that is constantly in flux.
An important precondition for continuity is the regular (integrated) development of new products, services or markets. That´s what Business Development concentrates on - developing innovation in every field.
The Master´s degree programme in Business Development concentrates on the heart of business studies, i.e. the relationship between a product and a customer. The programme will teach you how to study market, product, technology and organizational developments in an integrated way.
The programme, which is rounded off with a substantial Master's thesis (25 ECTS), will train you for product, marketing and innovation management positions.
Contents
The first semester begins with a field course in Business Development, in which you will study concepts of market development and the development of products and services. You will also follow modules such as management of the BD process, integrated BD where the relationship between the various processes is highlighted, and you will study BD for products and services. Finally, your Master´s thesis will earn you the last 25 ECTS. You can conduct the research at a company or within the faculty.

Relevant Scientific Bachelor Degree in Business or a related field from a recognized university
or
Pre-MSc programme of Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen.
Graduates from the University of Groningen are highly recommended to pass the relevant specialization course.
