The Department of International Relations and European Studies integrates international relations research with regional expertise in the European Union and the wider European neighborhood, and the evolving role of the EU, China, the US and Russia in international affairs. IRES combines international relations theory, international political economy and security studies with multidisciplinary approaches to the study of transnational, national and subnational politics, in Europe and beyond.
Master of Arts in International Relations and European Studies (One Year)
This program provides students with a general foundation in the International Relations discipline, as well as a more specific exposure to questions relating to the study of the European Union, the world economy, and international security.

The majority of Master’s degree students find employment with governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as in international business, political consultancy, and journalism. Doctoral graduates hold teaching and/or research positions in academia and international organizations.
