Location of Central European University (CEU)

The Department of Legal Studies offers advanced degree programs in comparative constitutional law, human rights and international business law. The curriculum combines international and regional intellectual traditions, and offers students professional training and internship opportunities. Outstanding professors introduce students to state-of- the-art legal research, reasoning and writing, enabling them to become competitive, and capable of working in various fi elds of legal practice and research upon successful graduation.

Master of Arts in Human Rights (One Year)
This program offers instruction in specific legal mechanisms and institutional processes that organizations can use to approach human rights issues in transitional and established democracies.

Career Paths
Graduates of the department pursue successful careers as policymakers, diplomats, ombudsmen, EU consultants, and lawyers in business and human rights law.
