ECTS-Points
The ECTS point system is used in the Master's of Arts program of study. The ECTS system quantifies workload in terms of the amount of time students will have to afford for successful participation in the respective courses, examinations, or other types of scholarly pursuit. The point system is as follows: one ECTS point equals twenty-five hours’ worth of work, which in the course of a year is equal to 1,500 hours. The ECTS system serves to outline the structure of the program in general as well as to define the amount of time each of the required elements of the program demands. It allows for the accumulation of points and facilitates documenting advancement in the program.
During the course of the Master's program of study, 120 ECTS points have to be accumulated.
