Focus on such areas as vaccination, the creation of safer safer workplaces, preventive maternal care and childcare, safer food, family planning, traffic safety, and tobacco control. Genetic Epidemiology:
Get the tools you need to carry out your own genetic and epidemiological research. Study the genes associated with complex disorders, and work to identify the possible hereditary factors behind them. Explore the interactions between environmental factors and genetic susceptibility, and how these may cause chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and psychiatric disorders. Do etiologically focused studies, using an integrated approach based in epidemiology, biostatistics, genetics and molecular biology.
