Electrical Engineering deals with the application and modeling of electronic, electromagnetic and physical phenomena in signal processing, telecommunications, control and energy transmission. Research is carried out not only on hardware, e.g. electrical circuits and systems, but also on software, e.g. models and information systems. State-of-the-art electrical components and systems are designed, analyzed and implemented, while existing systems and components are subject to all sorts of optimizations and refinements. Electrical Engineering is a dynamic field of study, and graduates can be sure of explorative, innovative and leading roles in universities and industry.

Students should successfully have attained a degree in electrical engineering, communications technology, automation engineering, microelectronics, information technology or have successfully completed a comparable study course at a University of Applied Sciences, a university, a technical university or a comparable university in the scope of application of the basic law in a Bachelor study or a diploma study course. This Master's degree program will commence with a comprehensive examination.
