The two-year Master Online allows the participants to deepen and to supplement their knowledge in the EU integration process by applying blended learning methods through a combination of a e-learning and concentrated face-to-face learning phases.
The programme is a training and an additional qualification for young professionals, postgraduates and junior officials interested in or already working in the field of European integration. The programme offers them the opportunity to continue their studies while pursuing their career.
The Master involves recognised experts with academic and practical background (See 1.3) and is offered by the Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) in cooperation with the Jean Monnet Chair of the University of Cologne.

Face-to-face workshops take place in different European cities like Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Istanbul and Rome and complement the virtual activities of the programme.
1.2 Disciplines
The basic courses on EU Law, Political Science, Economics and History of European Integration are coupled during the first year by courses on International Relations, Enlargement policies, Monetary and Fiscal policies, Sustainable Development, Interest Representation and Justice and Home Affairs.
During the second year of the programme participants specialize in one of the following study areas: EU Law, Political Science, Economics. The teaching method is similar to that of the first one, though it results in a more advanced level of interdisciplinarity and essay oriented self-study, coupled by an intensive workshop. The second part of the year is dedicated to the preparation for the final examination in the three study areas and to the submission of a master thesis, which is defended at the final workshop of the Master programme.
