Location of University of Geneva

Organized by the Centre of Competence in Environmental Science, the Faculty of Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Science and Economics of the University of Geneva.
The programme is intended for those who wish to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to the study of how the environment functions, and how it interacts with humanity and human society.
Three specializations are possible: natural environmental science (bio-geo-chemical cycles, natural resources and biodiversity); climate and energy; globalization, urbanism and governance.

Length of programme: 4 semesters


Requirements

1. students who meet the conditions for enrolment at the University of Geneva may be admitted to preparatory studies for a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences. They must hold a Bachelor of Science or of Social Science and Economics from the University of Geneva or another institution, or a degree or certificate of training considered equivalent by the Institute's Academic Committee.
2. admission is granted on the basis of the candidate's experience. Candidates may be asked to do a maximum 60 credits of additional training. The Institute's Academic Committee shall decide on admission.

3. students must be enrolled at the University and registered at the Faculty of Sciences.
