Location of Riga Technical University

Riga Technical University offers degree programs in English.The programs taught in English generally lead to the B.Sc. (undergraduate) degree in three years and to the M. Sc. (graduate) degree in two years.

The postgraduate Ph.D. program is individualised and requires minimum three years of combined course work and research.

RTU academic year runs from the beginning of September until mid June. The year is divided into two semesters: the first from September to January, the second February to June. You can choose the start of your program in Semester 1 or Semester 2.

Graduate (Master) Degrees

* Bachelor degree or its equivalent (official transcripts required);
* If English is not your first language we require to have achieved a minimum competency with the language in order to commence an undergraduate or postgraduate programme:
* International English Language Testing Service (IELTS): an average score of 5.0 over all components with not less than 4.5 in any one component.
* TOEFL: at least 500 on old TOEFL or 200 on new computerised TOEFL.
