PAC provides a service for the central processing of applications for admission to Postgraduate level courses in Ireland. The site will therefore be of interest to anyone considering postgraduate study. PAC is committed to ensuring that all applications are dealt with fairly and efficiently. Candidates take a specified number of taught modules in each year of the programme. In the first year, all candidates include in their programme modules in Greek or Latin; normally these will be at the introductory level, though modules at higher levels will be prescribed for candidates who already possess introductory-level qualifications. Candidates who achieve appropriate results in these modules will be invited to include further modules in the same language in their second-year programme.
Candidates are also required to write a dissertation of 15,000-20,000 words on a topic approved by the Head of the Department of Ancient Classics under the supervision of a designated supervisor. The topic is agreed during the second semester of the first year, and work on the dissertation begun in the summer vacation following. The dissertation is submitted by a specific date at the end of the second year.

Take testBA with at least lower-second-class Honours overall and normally good upper-second-class Honours in Greek and Roman Civilization, or equivalent.
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6, if not they may take our International
Foundation Course. Minimum English language requirement for the IFC is IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.
