PAC is a not-for-profit company registered in Ireland (291366) Students cover in survey Irish history since the fifth century through attendance at lecture courses and participation in dedicated reading courses. They also take two electives in Irish history and undertake two guided research projects.
The programme (30 credits per semester) will comprise the following in 2008-2009:
Semester 1
HY 510: Guided research project (A) (15 cr)
HY 503 Ireland, 1603-1800
Lectures (24 hours); tutorials (12 hours) (7.5 cr)
One elective module (not taken previously) froma selection provided (3 hours per week) (7.5 cr)
Semester 2
HY 520: Guided research project (B) (15 cr)
HY 311: Ireland in the modern world
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA primary degree in any subject or subjects with a History element
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6, if not they may take our International
Foundation Course. Minimum English language requirement for the IFC is IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.
