The one-year taught MLitt in Medieval Studies (or two years part-time) will appeal to students interested in the history and culture of Medieval Europe, and particularly to those who wish to gain an interdisciplinary insight to the period. The courses reflect research interests drawn from various disciplines including Celtic, Divinity, English, French, History, History of Art, and Scottish and Irish Studies. The programme offers training and thematic courses as well as specialist supervision for a 15,000 word dissertation of the students' own choice. Following successful completion of the programme, students may proceed to the PhD degree.
