The programme aims to explore in depth the concept of multiculturalism, with specific reference to the development of the concept in academic studies (particularly in the past 15 years).
The aim of the programme is to provide a postgraduate taught level exploration of the key contemporary idea, which may be of use either as a stand alone programme for those involved personally or professionally in this wide ranging issue, or otherwise as a preparation for further research.

Candidates are also required to take two further elective courses from those available at the Institute, and write a dissertation on a topic related to the subject matter of the degree. Each student is appointed a supervisor who will assist in planning the period of study in a way that is appropriate to the qualifications and interests of the student. Students are also expected to attend the postgraduate research seminars organised by the Institute.
The taught courses will be assessed by coursework, as prescribed for each course. The dissertation course will be assessed by submission of the dissertation. The degree of MLitt shall not be awarded to candidates who fail to complete the dissertation to an appropriate standard, irrespective of their performance in other courses; such candidates may, at the discretion of the Examiners, be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testNormally a good second-class Honours degree in a relevant subject, or its equivalent. Students whose mother tongue is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher.
