Location of Udmurt State University

Graduate degree - Master of Applied Mathematics and Informatics.

Basic education master´s programme includes bachelor training programme (4 years) and special master´s training programme (2 years).

Master of Applied Mathematics and Informatics is efficient to perform activities that demand fundamental and professional skills, including research work in the spheres where the methods of applied mathematics and computer technologies are used; create and use mathematical model of process and objects; develop software and effective mathematical problem-solving methods in design and engineering, administrative and financial activity. Master of Applied Mathematics and Informatics is also efficient to perform scientific and pedagogical activity on conditions that he/she masters the special pedagogical programme.

* Modern Issues of Applied Mathematics and Informatics: Design and Analysis Methods of Complex Mathematical Models; Algorithms for Mathematical Models Research using PC.
* Modern Computer Technologies: Theoretical and Applied Software Engineering; Design And Engineering of Software Systems; Modern Computer Networks; Multimedia Systems; Multiprocessing System and Parallel Data Processing
* History and Methodology in Applied Mathematics and Informatics: Main Methodological Issues in Applied Mathematics and Informatics; History and Development of Applied Mathematics and Informatics; History and Development of Electronics and Computer Technologies and Software Engineering;
* Foreign Language
* Special Disciplines

Full-time study. Theoretical training, including scientific research, practicum, laboratory research, preparation for defense of the diploma paper, examinations, internship (scientific research, pedagogical, final state examination, defense of the Master´s dissertation).

Requirements

Those who would like to study according special Master´s programme should have higher professional education of the definite level, which is confirmed by the state document.

Those who have bachelor´s degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Physics, Mathematics and Computer Sciences can be enrolled for special Master´s programme on a competitive basis.

Those who would like to study according special Master´s programme and have higher professional education in the areas which are not indicated above shall pass the examinations in the disciplines necessary for study according to the master´s programme.
