This master course provides students with the necessary skills for the scientific analysis of economic issues and prepares for a possible subsequent Ph.D. program . Content and structure of the course follow Anglo-Saxon standards. Courses are taught in German and English and introduce students to current economic research. The excellent student-faculty ratio allows for direct contact with all instructors and for the exchange of scientific ideas. Students are encouraged to spend one semester abroad or visit foreign research institutes during their graduate studies.

As special features, the course offers a career coaching program and a mentoring program where master students can meet with Ph.D. students to learn about ongoing research projects.
