Ever-increasing competition has a strong impact on operating enterprises as global dynamics greatly challenge companies active in such an environment. In order for businesses to successfully keep up with the developments of globalization and new information- and communication technologies, it is essential to constantly revise and adapt tasks and goals of management.
The Master programme International Management Studies prepares students for a career against this background, qualifying for executive positions of international and dynamic character. The programme equips students not only with the necessary professional knowledge and skills but provides a broad foundation in methodology, critical thinking and social competencies. The curriculum of the Master of Science in International Management Studies comprises courses that convey key qualifications, specialisations, a number of elective courses and the final master thesis.
The first phase of the programme focuses on intercultural competences, value oriented management, methodology as well as problem solving and team competencies. In the sequel, students can choose from four different specializations/profiles.
In order to complete the degree successfully, students are required to write a master thesis in the fourth semester of the programme.
Contents
The following course catalogue has been approved for the MSc in Management Studies by the FIBAA. Four "profiles" are available. The MSc lasts two years and requires 120 credit points (CP) conforming to the European Credit Transfer System.
The 120 CP can be divided as follows:
* Key Qualifications: Intercultural Communication, Management and Research Competence, Language (English, Danish or Spanish)
* Specializations: chosen from one of the four profiles
* Master thesis

Profile 2 Strategy & Organisation
Profile 3 “Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management”
Profile 4 “Marketing & Media Management”

Language of instruction of the Master's programme "International Management Studies" is English and German. Applicants need to have a German level of at least B2 (equivalent to DSH:2 and Test Daf: 3).
