Location of The Thierry Graduate School of Leadership (THIERRY)
The THIERRY Graduate Diploma (DAL) plus Master of Arts in Leadership dual programme includes a state-of-the-art curriculum in which Applied Leadership entails the personal development and growth in effective leadership practice, mastery of change, and in the many other related areas of learning (multidisciplinary approach). The master in leadership degree crowns the entire Dual Programme.
Participants in the Dual Programme attend courses in one of the following learning modes (variants):
1) The in-classroom and part-time (Executive) This version of our masters programme is a two-year executive type of curriculum offered in evening-sessions and one-day workshops, with personalised coaching, and some e-based courses.
(2) The online e-coached distance education version (called HERCULES). This version answers the needs of participants located worldwide; the curriculum includes one residence requirement.
(3) The one-to-one tutoring/coaching plus online courses (called SIRIUS), for participants who are based in Western Europe. The individualised version includes courses of the online-based Hercules, combined with personalised coaching.
(4) The fully one-to-one tutored and coached programme. In the history of leadership training, education, and development this exclusive mode of education is the oldest, or most ancient one. This millennium-old method of teaching and learning long predates modern classroom education. At THIERRY it is offered in a special course format based on short-stay and longer duration residencies.
Contents
The following concentrations (majors) are available in the DAL (Grad.Dipl.) + MA programme:
> The Executive Leadership ("ExecLead") concentration is aimed at participants who wish to evolve toward an executive leadership position in for example business organisations, or to further enhance their existing leadership skills. The Executive Leadership programme can also be attended after an MBA, MPA, or another graduate-level porgramme (M.Sc,...).
> Environmental Leadership ("TERRA"), a very unique "green" programme for participants who aim at becoming an effective, responsible, strong-willed, environment-focused organisational leader or environmental leadership educator. The TERRA programme is offered online and emphasises on, for instance, individual, corporate and societal environmental awareness and care; energy management; industrial and public policy and strategy-setting, and the related leadership areas.
> The 'ELPO' is a specialised programme for executives and professionals active in executive leadership positions of public (state) organisations (government,...). ELPO stands for Executive Leadership in Public Organisations, Note: this programme is offered in a fully personalised and residential mode with one-on-one coaching (this concentration is not available in distance education).
Accreditation
The DAL + MA programme is officially organised and registered by the International Higher Institute for Leadership INSIL, Institut Supérieur International de Leadership, of France. The distance learning course delivery and guidance is currently entrusted to INSIL's international associate institution, The Thierry Graduate School of Leadership of Belgium (THIERRY). INSIL awards the graduate diploma in applied leadership studies upon successful completion of the ten course requirements in the master's level DAL curriculum at THIERRY. For the MA-part there are several paths/options towards completion, and all leading to a recognised degree.
