The school has ultimate responsibility for your training while the University of Worcester ensures the training programme meets the necessary quality assurance standards.
A needs analysis, which informs the length of the training, is developed at the start of the course. The programme uses your strengths and involves you in taking responsibility for monitoring your own professional development. The course is therefore best suited for trainees who are prepared to work independently and are responsible for their own learning.
On the GTP, trainees work as unqualified teachers while following an individual programme of teacher training. The programme normally takes a year but can be shortened for those with teaching experience.
