The course is a part-time, workbased learning programme intended to be undertaken alongside, and complementary to, employment supporting HE student learning. Core modules provide an opportunity for programme participants to gain knowledge, understanding and capabilities in learning, teaching, assessment, research methods and academic practice. The programme encourages participants to articulate the links between current theory and research and the practical context in which they work.
The emphasis is on developing practitioners with clear professional values who understand teaching as facilitating learning and who are constantly seeking to improve their practice in a reflective and theoretically informed way.
The programme aims to:
* Support and develop your learning, teaching and assessment in HE
* Promote a student-centred approach to learning, teaching and assessment.
* Increase your understanding of the learning process
* Foster your reflective practice
* Encourage your engagement with HE policy, strategy and quality considerations
* Develop your enhanced professional practice within a clear framework of your own professional values
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testPostgraduate courses require an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent or TOFEL of 88 (IBT) and above or Cambridge Advanced B or above.
