The three-module certificate gives you an opportunity to build on the work begun in your Career Entry and Development Profile and to reflect on your own professional learning as a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT). At the same time, you will be gathering evidence to show that you have met the standards for NQTs.
If you were awarded Masters credits with your PGCE, one or more modules from this course can provide a stepping stone to the final Dissertation stage of a Masters Degree.
Your tutor will support you with regular group tutorials where you will have opportunities to meet and share experiences with other NQTs. These meetings may be on campus or at a location close to your school.
You will have access to on-campus and electronic learning resources, including Blackboard, the University´s e-learning website. Your tutor will also offer ongoing email support.
As a Newly Qualified Teacher, you will be able to start a postgraduateaward with the Learning and Teaching Postgraduate Certificate. If you already have Masters credits from your PGCE course, you will be able to progress rapidly to completing your full Masters Degree.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testPostgraduate courses require an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent or TOFEL of 88 (IBT) and above or Cambridge Advanced B or above.
