Shorter life cycles and smaller target groups make innovation and international marketing of new products and services dominant cost elements.
The roles of marketers are evolving into general management functions and marketers are often recruited to CEO positions; leading to a great demand for this new type of qualified business graduate. Employability is likely to increase significantly for those with a Master´s degree.
The programme is administered by the faculty of Economics and Design and is offered at the School of Management and Economics.
The coordination of the programme is administered by the programme director, who also works to assure that the quality of the programme is maintained, from individual contacts with students on the course to programme development.
A lecturer is responsible for each individual course. The programme has a programme council with representatives of each year, responsible for work with quality assurance and development of the programme.
Program overview
The programme consists of 3 courses focused on each of the main areas of the
programme in business development, innovation/product development and
internationalization. The programme is completed with a degree dissertation project. All courses at second level are given in English.

Community contacts
The degree programme has a clearly defined connection with the business sector as it builds on empirical research traditions within the subject areas in question which
encompass the latest trends and changes relating to marketing. Furthermore case study companies are used in several of the degree programme’s courses as well as guest lecturers teaching in a number of different course components.
Studies Abroad
Study abroad can be included in the programme following consultation with the
programme coordinator. The students can make use of existing agreements with
international universities maintained by Linnaeus University. The students are also
encouraged to find universities outside the existing contracts.
Scope of the programme
Working with diversity means utilizing and valuing diversity among colleagues, students and other cooperating partners. In the courses Business Development and Business Development by Innovation, Product Development and Product Revision, questions about sustainable development, diversity, equality and ethics are discussed.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
