The Master of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology [MBMB] was founded in the university year of 1994/1995 as a post-graduate study course and an integral part to the education process at the Biology Faculty, University of Bucharest and it has been accredited by ARACIS beginning with 2008. This programme was founded as a requirement for the training of young graduates in a cutting edge field of modern biology: molecular biology. This master is based on complex investigation techniques at the level of genetic material, leading to a genuine revolution in the bio-medical field, with an enormous influence on the lives of people and on human society, in general. MBMB is organized and coordinated by the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department which provides for the students modern facilties and ensures that they participate in research programmes funded by National and European Programmes. MBMB graduates will be prepared for a career in research centers, universities, hospitals and private companies in the Research and Development field and in the industry. Most of these graduates will pursue specialization studies in order to obtain their Ph.D.
