TIMEFRAME

Your Master of Arts in International Business degree will take 18 months to complete. (Dual degree students follow a slightly different schedule.) You´ll spend your first 2 terms here in Munich. Your third semester takes you abroad to pursue internships (optional) and study on another campus. Finally, you´ll return to Munich to complete your master thesis in cooperation with a company.

In order to maximize your time here, you will have the option of earning two Master degrees in tandem - without having to considerably extend your study time. Currently, 5 of our partner universities offer dual degrees in collaboration with MBS:

LUXURY MANAGEMENT

The successful marketing of products and services in the luxury segment assumes the deep-rooted understanding of the specific features of the corresponding markets and customers. Historical and sociological issues provide access to the topic of luxury just as well as deliberations from the fields of philosophy, economy, ecology and psychology.

The area of studies Luxury Management links the corresponding theoretical rudiments for the students with the opportunity of gathering their own practical experience and actively participating in the arrangement of the events.

INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FIRMS

Family Business Management is training the next generation of entrepreneurs for national and international multi-generational family businesses. Through this concentration, MBS wants to support all those who want to assume responsibility in corporate succession now. Family businesses often face complex challenges between the conflicting priorities of family and business, technological progress and international competition. The International Family Firms concentration provides soon-to-be entrepreneurs with the necessary tools in order to lead their family business into a successful future.

PREREQUISITES

Above-average first academic degree in business or economics (Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent), min. GPA 3.0/4.0

Business-/ economics-related courses must have comprised at least 50% of your program

TOEFL: For the Master German Track min. 88 Points and for the Master English Track min. 93 Points (IBT) - NOT required if you completed your university entrance level examiniaon or your first academic degree in English)

* Letter of Motivaton (1-2 pages) demonstrating that you´re ready and willing to take on the considerable challenges of our program
* C.V. highlighting your achievements in academics, the workforce, internships, etc.

Accreditation

NATIONAL ACCREDITATION

The Munich Business School became the first state accredited private university in Bavaria in 1999. As a result, it offers its services under the supervision of the Bavarian Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts. Its exam requirements are also approved by the Ministry and MBS has the right to award academic titles.

INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

All study courses offered at MBS are FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) accredited. The FIBAA is one of the six most important international quality and accreditation agencies. Its quality seal of approval certifies the professional relevancy and quality of the study courses.

EVALUATION OF COURSES

Every MBS course is anonymously evaluated in the interest of continued quality assurance. For this purpose, at the end of every semester each student evaluates all courses attended and the dons used. The markings and the responses to open-ended questions form an important decision-making basis for the continued improvement of the course offerings and the curriculum for the following semester.
