The circulation of objects, persons and goods in prehistory and the ancient world represents the unifying problematic of that master degree program. The theme is approached from various perspectives: trade and commercial itineraries, the ideology of power illustrated in texts, actions and iconography, the habitat and the social and cultural changes. The program also includes a methodological section: the study of ancient historical sources (including specific methods and techniques), the instruments of archaeological and anthropological research. A number of practical seminaries and a practical stage are compulsory for the participants. The program is organized by the Chair for Ancient History and Archaeology and is beneficiary of the research support form two structures: The Centre for Comparative History of the Ancient Societies and The "V.
