The main objective in this master degree program is to study major evolutions in the South-East Europe, starting in late antiquity and ending in the beginning of the 20th century. Various subjects are broth in discussion: the process of ethno genesis in the region, religious, cultural and institutional history, evolutions in mentalities and every day life, etc. For the modern age the courses are focalized on the political issues: South-East Europe in the international relations, the national states, etc. The program offers a formation in paleography. The master degree program is organized by the Chair for World History, in collaboration with the Chair for Romanian History, the Centre for Byzantine Studies and The Centre for Turkish Studies.
