The master degree program studies the fundamental aspect in the Romanian political history in the 20th century: political regimes, foreign policy in the context of international relations, social and ideological problematic in communist Romania. The study of totalitarian ideologies and regimes in the Romanian case are an important part of the program. A series of courses have as main object the evolution of these aspect in international context, including the political alliances (from the end of the 19th century to the cold war), the evolution of political regimes in East Europe after the second world war and the contemporary historiography perspectives on the main evolutions in the previous century. The programme is organized by the Chair of Romanian History and benefits of the research support of the Centre for the 20th century History.
