The contemporary world is the most direct result of major historical evolutions that took place in the 20th century. The objective of this master degree program is to study the main coordinates of those evolutions: political alliances form the end of the 19th century to the present days, evolutions in the international economy, political regimes and institutions, including the ideological aspects. A series of case studies is focused on some of the most dynamic political spaces on the international arena in the last century. Contemporary international problematic is studied in a historical perspective, by questioning the origins and the evolution of some major phenomena: ethnic and religious conflicts, globalisations, etc. The master degree program is organized by the Chair for World History.
