Location of University of Bucharest

The Post-graduate level of Media Organizations Management was developing within the College of Journalism and Mass-Communication Frame since 1997 being considered as first program for post graduation level and the only one high profiled in the national academic system. The Program was developed as a necessary answer to the Romanian media market needs and as a projection for further press evolutions as well.

In terms of last years developments of the journalism field and the media market, we can talk about a more diverse market characterised by fragmentation, multiplication of the professional activities and editorial strategies close to a number of changes related to the profesion field access and to the journalistic profession-public sphere relation evolution.

The general and basic training level is made with management and marketing general theories and, additional, with a specific professional training based on acknowledge of journalistic practices and procedures due to a valuable expertise of journalistic field.

The trainers team is mixing academic persons and media industry specialists.The expertise is reffering to the practical and strategical professional and organizational issues in order to make the professional insertion and reconversion easier. The program aims to develop basic professional competences such as conceiveing and managing project, building management strategies, leading professional teams, encouraging initiative and antrepenorial spirit.
