The professional-oriented master´s programme of Specialized Journalism, organized by the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication Studies, is designed to meet the needs of a Romanian media market that has been expanded lately mainly through specialization and diversification. Specialized journalism implies close ties between the editorial staff and the marketing department, the development of a strategic thinking, an in-depth knowledge of the professional practices and an adequate response to the challenges of the new comunication technologies and the new professions within the field of journalism. In this respect, this master´s programme will lead to the training and education of more effective professionals who can adapt well to a rapidly evolving media environment. The two-year curriculum provides the students with a firm grounding in theory and craft skills through course modules in economic, political, cultural, european, environmental, sports, science andwomen's magazine journalism. The validation of 120 ECTS credits and the completion of a professional dissertation to be remitted at the end of the programme are required for graduation.
