The Master Globalisation and Law offers two specialisations, one in Corporate and Commercial Law and one in Human Rights. The specialisations share two common courses, which are mandatory for all students of the Master: International Dispute Settlement and Corporate Social Responsibility.
International Dispute Settlement deals with the institutions and procedures for the settlement of disputes not only between states but also between states and private entities, including investment and human rights disputes. Corporate Social Responsibility focuses on responsible entrepreneurship and the legal possibilities to enforce such behaviour.
The specialisation in Corporate and Commercial Law offers students the opportunity to study the key areas of corporate and commercial practice in an international and global setting. The courses are designed to provide students with firm grasp of essential legal concepts, prevalent in various jurisdictions, allowing them to later work from different (inter-)national legal systems.
Students may substitute up to two courses of their track (not being a common course) with courses of the other track or one of the Faculty´s other Master programmes, traineeships or participation in a Moot Court competition. This allows students to tailor their programme to their interests and ambitions.
