This MA is intended to provide an opportunity for advanced study of key themes in the history of Wales, together with preparation and completion of a substantial piece of original research in the field. The structure of this MA course provides for two compulsory Core modules (30 credits each), and a choice of any two Option modules (30 credits each) from a list of several modules in Part One (120 credits in total), with one Dissertation module of 60 credits in Part Two.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Requirements

The minimum basic entry requirement for a Masters degree is normally an Honours Degree (Class 2 Division 1) or equivalent. Prospective Masters students should ensure that they have arranged with referees for their references to be available as required.

Non-native English speakers are required to take a University recognised test of academic English language proficiency with required minimum proficiency levels equating to an IELTS score of 7 or a TOEFL score of 580 (paper based test) or 237 (computer based) with an essay rating of 5.0. Applicants who have successfully undertaken a Bachelors degree in a UK University are exempt from this requirement
