This course aims to develop students equipped with well-balanced knowledge and technical skills who will be able to lead and implement practical sustainable network systems. The course will enable you to analyse and evaluate the essence of sustainability to formulate strategies for the design and implementation of network systems solutions.
Although in principal there is no noticeable difference in the technology itself, the manner in which the technology is applied is the key factor for sustainability. This course will focus on the network infrastructure for improving efficiency, reducing heat generated by network devices and improving management of the networks. This course will be developed in close collaboration with CISCO. The course will develop an understanding on how the change in culture can influence the speed of progression towards achieving a greener environment.
