Location of National University of Ireland, Maynooth

This is a two-year full-time taught course. It is aimed at students who have a primary degree with a significant Mathematical content (such as Mathematical Studies graduates), but who do not hold an Honours Degree in Mathematics. The MA course is equivalent to taking Higher Diploma in Mathematics followed by the MSc by examination. A mark of 50% is required to proceed to second year. Candidates who fail to reach the mark of 50% may be awarded a Higher Diploma in Mathematics, subject to a threshold of 40%.
Under the SOCRATES Exchange Programs, students may spend up to half of their second year at one of a number of European Universities. Arrangements must be made early in the academic year
