Location of University of Bucharest

The Master of Science Programme of Advanced Studies in Geography, is the upper level of the basic specialization of the faculty. The main objectives are: the study of the latest approaches in Geographical Science.

The curricula within the programme covers a large domain, from theoretical, basic courses to applied disciplines. The programme combines the formative direction together with the informative one. The main objective is the training of specialists in geography.

The postgarduates of this programme which attended the psycho- pedagogical package of disciplines within the programme will be able to cover the high school teacher of geography position (this is the obligatory condition to continue the M.Sc. study programme). Other postgraduates can follow the research field within the programme. They can cover positions within different research laboratories of different institutions: The Institute of Geography of the Romanian Academy (geographer), The Institute for Pedology and Agrochemistry (pedologist), The National Authority for Metheorology and Hydrology (metheorologist, hydrologist). They could cover positions of geographic analyst within different other institutions focused on territorial system analysis.
