The Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe is a one-year, two-country postgraduate programme in general management with emphasis on a pragmatic approach to management and international skills.

The MEB's structure has a truly international dimension. The MEB includes 2 semesters of studies on two campuses of your choice. The participants have the choice of studying on one of the 5 ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Turin) or at one of the 3 partners institutions: MDI in Gurgaon (India), ITESM in Monterrey (Mexico) and AIT in Bangkok (Thailand).

The MEB focuses on providing a practical hands-on approach. Participants undertake company consultancy projects in groups, and individual internships to gain transferable skills for the work place.

The programme focuses on promoting the learning of multicultural skills necessary for the global economy through:

  • The vast mix of participants from different national and cultural backgrounds;
  • The international faculty;
  • Cooperative and participatory approaches to learning;
  • Studying in two different countries within one year.

All of these factors contribute to the development of intercultural skills, which are highly appropriate for today´s global business world.

International Tracks

The Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe offers a unique opportunity to spend 2 semesters of studies in 2 different countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Campuses include the 5 ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin, Torino) and 3 partner institutions in India (MDI Gurgaon), Thailand (AIT Bangkok) and Mexico (ITESM Monterrey). Participants have to study for one semester on one of the 5 ESCP Europe campuses.

For Semester 1, students have many options:

  • Paris (courses in French)
  • London (courses in English)
  • Madrid (courses in Spanish)
  • Berlin (courses in German)
  • Torino (courses in Italian)
  • Gurgaon, India (courses in English)
  • Monterrey, Mexico (courses in English)

For Semester 2, students have the choice of:

  • Paris (French and English tracks)
  • London (courses in English)
  • Berlin (German and English tracks)
  • Madrid (Spanish and English tracks)
  • Torino (courses in English)
  • Bangkok, Thailand (courses in English)

In Paris, Berlin and Madrid campuses a choice between the native language (French/German/Spanish) and English is offered in Semester 2 only.

Please note that choosing your countries of study clearly depends on your language skills, regional interest, career ambitions and the availability of places on each campus.

Courses

The modules combine different business disciplines to provide the participant with the necessary knowledge and skills for today´s business realities.

Active participation, including the sharing of ideas and experience are fundamental learning methods. Beyond this, methods include: lectures, seminars, tutorials, case studies, workshops, projects, presentations, computer-based activities, reading and private study, group work and group assignments.

  • 9 months of integrated management studies
  • 3 months (minimum) on a company placement or direct employment.

TOTAL ECTS CREDITS OF THE MEB: 90*

*Please note that all students holding a previous degree with less than 210 ECTS credits have to complete 30 extra ECTS credits to obtain the MEB degree (Research Methods module and Master thesis). Students will need a minimum of 15 months for their studies track. This option is offered in Semester 2 at the Paris campus ( French and English track) and at the Berlin campus (German and English track).

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Requirements

In the Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe applications are welcomed from candidates with:

  • A higher education to a level equivalent to a university honours degree in any field (Engineering, Policitical Sciences, Humanities, Economics, Law, Marketing, Architecture...)
  • Fluency in the study languages according to the countries chosen
  • International exposure
  • Preferably with at least one year of professionnal experience (internships included)

Language test

Candidates with relevant language qualification certificates may be exempt from language testing (written test only). For non native English speakers, we require the following minimum score on the tests: TOEFL writtent test: 600; TOEFL computer - based: 250; TOEFL IBT: 100; IELTS: 7.

The MEB Master in European Business at ESCP Europe offers two intakes:

  • The September intakes offers all 51 tracks in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
  • The January intake offers one-English language track combining two ESCP Europe campuses: Torino and London.

The September intake starts each year:

  • Semester 1 runs from Mid-September until Mid-February.
  • Semester2 runs from Mid-February until beginning of July.
  • 12-week (minimum) company internship or direct employment

Please note for the September intake:

  • Semester 1 at MDI Gurgaon (India) and ITESM Monterrey (Mexique) start in July 2010.
  • Semester 2 at AIT Bangkok (Thailand) begins in August 2011 and ends in December 2011. Students choosing for Semester 2 AIT Bangkok must therefore complete their insternship between their two academic semesters (i.e., between March and July).

The January intake (Turin/London) begins each year:

  • Semester 1 runs from Beginning of January until Mid-May
  • Semester 2 runs from Beginning of June until Mid-October
  • 12-week (minimum) company internship or direct employment

Scholarships

ESCP Europe values high quality education and we are dedicated to helping our students finance their studies in order to achieve their goals.

The Master in European Business programme (MEB) is pleased to offer 2009/2010 students scholarships totalling 180,000 EUR. We offer 3 types of scholarships based on merit and financial need. They may be cumulative.

Scholarships based on financial need: This scholarship has been established to help any MEB students with proven financial needs pursue their studies. We offer 20 scholarships (amount 3,000 EUR each).

Scholarships based on merit: Eligibility for this grant is based on results achieved during admissions tests. Decisions on selected students for this scholarship will be made by the MEB International Board of Directors. We offer 20 scholarships (amount 3,000 EUR each).

Scholarships based on MEB results: These scholarships will be based on results obtained during the MEB academic year, and the 30 most outstanding students will be awarded 2,000 EUR each. Successful students will receive this grant at the end of December.
