ESCP Europe
State-recognized school
There are over 200 schools offering business and management degrees in France; of these, only about half are recognized by the State. ESCP Europe is one of these.
EQUIS
The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has established high standards for the quality assessment of business schools: the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). Of the several hundred business schools in Europe, 59 have achieved EQUIS accreditation; ESCP Europe obtained its first accreditation in 1998, and was reaccredited in 2003 and in 2009.
AACSB
is the leading American accrediting body of business schools. For many years non-American business schools have enjoyed "membership" in the AACSB but only a very few have been accredited by AACSB. AACSB accreditation means that the business school meets the same very high quality standards demanded of top American business schools. ESCP Europe’s degree programmes were accredited in 2003.
3 National Memberships
Most European countries have a tightly-knit association of top business schools in the country.
In France, it is the "Conférence des Grandes Ecoles" (CGE) which includes 32 management schools.
In the UK, ESCP Europe is a member of the Association of Business Schools (ABS), grouping 102 leading business schools.
In Germany, ESCP Europe is one of the founding members of the VHP, (Verband der privaten Hochschulen), the German federation of private universities, which was created in 2004 and represents the common interests of 30 private universities.
To help you with financial planning, we have listed some opportunities. The admissions office at ESCP Europe is available for more information.
ScholarshipsStudents can obtain two types of scholarships: the aid granted through the school and the scholarships granted independently from the school.
Internships
To get graduated, students must do a minimum of 39 weeks of internships. However, many students choose to do longer internships than this required minimum, often taking sandwich semesters or sandwich years to get a longer professional experience and help finance tuition fees. While the salary offered is quite variable, most students get paid 400 to 1,900 Euros per month during their internships. Work permit is not required: you are allowed to work on your student residence permit, as the internship is compulsory part of the curriculum.
Campus jobs
Many jobs on campus are available (clerical, research or other) and paid by the hour (8€ per hour).
Bank loans
You can apply for a bank loan to finance your studies. Many banks offer student loans at attractive rates, with deferred pay back. French banks request that you provide a guarantor in France. If you have no relative in France, we therefore recommend that you apply for a loan from a bank in your own country. Four Paris banks are known to grant loans to ESCP Europe students: BNP Paribas, BRED, LCL and Société Générale.
