Deze boeiende afstudeerrichting binnen de informatica biedt je zeer ruime mogelijkheden om je persoonlijke interesses na te streven. Zowel in het basiscurriculum (30 sp) als in het specialisatiecurriculum (60 sp) heb je heel wat keuzemogelijkheden: er zijn keuzevakken binnen en buiten de afstudeerrichting en je kan keuzevakken aan andere universiteiten volgen. Voor je masterproef kies je een promotor en een onderwerp - ook hier is interuniversitaire samenwerking mogelijk. Naast deze informaticaspecialisaties kan je op het vlak van beroepsprofielen kiezen uit 3 opties (elk 30 sp): Ondernemerschap, Onderwijs, en Onderzoek en ontwikkeling.
