The Master’s programme of Information and Communication Technology includes four branches of study: Computer Science and Technology, Mobile Technology, Telecommunication Technology, and Computational Mathematics. Apart from the knowledge which ensures very good chances of employment in practice, the students are also educated in the relevant theoretical areas. The graduates can continue their studies in doctoral programmes.
Computational Mathematics:Computational Mathematics is a part of the study programme of Information and Communication Technology. Compared to the other branches of Information and Communication Technology, Computational Mathematics is characterised by extended studies of the important areas of applied mathematics, which the students can use when dealing with practical problems. The graduates can either find employment in a profession or they can continue in the doctoral programme focusing on the development of new methods for computational solutions of engineering problems to be applied especially in research and development.
Telecommunications Technology: The course develops the acquired knowledge in the branch in the current directions of technical development. This concerns primarily the communication technology applied both in fixed and radio access networks and optoelectronics. The education includes an extensive practical and laboratory instruction accompanied with extensive simulations. The practical laboratory instruction is performed in close cooperation with the experts from leading telecommunication companies, such as Siemens Enterprise Communication, T-Mobile Czech Republic and 2N TELEKOMUNIKACE, ProFiber Networking, Safibra, etc.
Computer Science and Technology:The Master’s course of Computer Science and Technology provides the students with an education designed to help them find employment mainly in the field of creation and administration of various extensive and complex software products, in the creation and administration of computational systems and computer networks, in the production of computers and their components, and finally, among others, in the field of business and education. Apart from the knowledge ensuring very good chances of employment in practice, the students are educated in relevant theoretical areas as well, which enables them to find employment in research and development as well as to continue their studies in the doctoral programme.
Mobile Technology: The Master’s course of Mobile Technology provides the students with an education that should prepare them to find employment mainly in the area of creation and administration of products, e.g. software products, in the environment of telecommunication and mobile networks. Apart from the knowledge which ensures very good chances of employment in practice, the students are also educated in theoretical areas, which enables them to engage in research and development as well as to continue their studies in the doctoral programme.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testAdmission to studies in follow-up master degree programmes is conditioned upon the completion of the bachelor degree programme. In the framework of the admission procedure the applicant submits a certificate (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS) proving the B1 level of English language knowledge in accordance with CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and an assessment of previous study results. Studies in the follow-up master degree programmes are accessible to graduates of the bachelor degree programmes of the same or related fields of study or the master degree programme of a related field.
