Environmental Management and Consultancy – (M.Sc.)

Whether it is the board rooms of multinational corporations or the offices of small enterprises, the environment is now a fundamental part of business decision making. Today's successful business manager needs to understand the commercial opportunities that the environment sector offers, as well as the complex regulations which must be complied with and the standards which customers expect. The MA in Environmental Management and Consultancy prepares you for these challenges, enabling you to understand and speak the language of both management and environmental science.

Core modules are delivered by the Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) and students are able to take optional modules in the internationally renowned Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). The taught programme provides a mix of theory and practice, including vocational experience and insights via the enterprise and environment module and the optional work placement module. The programme also includes a 6 month research placement where you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge and skills to the test by working for a small-medium sized company.

On graduating you will have a range of research and commercial skills which are needed for careers in environmental consultancy and the green business sector.
