Designed as a joint interdisciplinary program in cooperation with the Russian Department and the Academy of Economic Studies, the master's program in Slavic Studies, the first of its kind in Romania, lays particular emphasis on the concept of interculturality. The primary aim of the program is to extend and enhance the students' knowledge of history, culture, language and literature, enriching this synthetic approach by a detailed view of the Slavic specificity against a European background (Slavic versus European, identity versus otherness, cultural perception from within and from the outside - the Slavs and the others), as well as against shared European values. The module-based structure of this master's program (Oriental Studies, Balkan Studies, Central-European Studies) ensures its multidisciplinary, modern and flexible character.
