Your employer wins as well. Not only are you gaining advanced skills which will enhance your performance within the organisation, but in addition you will base your EMBA course assignments on your company’s current issues and develop practical solutions to resolve them. Read reasons to sponsor an MBA.
You wouldn't learn surgery from a doctor who has never performed an operation, so why put your business education in any hands other than the best? The part time executive MBA degree is taught in small interactive groups by faculty who have proven their business acumen in the real world. There are no lecture theatres or classes packed with fresh-faced graduates and your fellow participants who, like you, have at least five and typically more than twelve years' industry experience.
The Ashridge part time executive MBA degree is a superb developmental opportunity for you and your organisation.
The programme is a modular design with 12 one-week residential modules (Monday to Saturday) every two months. The curriculum is based around six core subject areas:
Maximising Human Potential - supports our firm belief that, as a future business leader, you need to develop your own leadership style and philosophy based on improved self-awareness and self-effectiveness.
Shaping Strategic Direction - examines the challenges of strategy formation and implementation. This subject area is designed to provide you with insights into the theories and techniques of strategic management and to enable you to develop and execute winning strategies.
Managing Business Finance - deals with making, interpreting and evaluating financial decisions. You will be provided with a comprehensive understanding of key financial techniques and frameworks together with a guide to their effective application, as well as their limitations, in a range of situations.
Developing Operational Capability - explores operations issues in service and manufacturing organisations in a variety of sectors. The curriculum links effectiveness in operations with longer term strategic decisions and performance outcomes.
Leveraging Information Systems - covers the mechanisms, processes and techniques used to manage information to make decisions and exploit their strategic potential in organisations. The curriculum covers both decision science and information systems from a management perspective.
Building Market Focus - deals with customer value creation in B2C and B2B contexts and looks at how marketing can make the difference between the success or failure of an organisation. The curriculum focuses on understanding customers and competitors, as well as the importance of branding and positioning of a product, service or organisation. Ways and means of `going to market´ and promoting the organisation´s offer to the consumer, using both traditional and more recent marketing techniques, are also explored.
