Location of Loughborough University

This programme provides graduates interested in the automotive industry with knowledge and technical expertise in a wide range of automotive disciplines.

It provides students with a systems viewpoint for automotive design and manufacture, transferable skills and knowledge applicable to the workplace.

Students study three compulsory modules and a further three modules from a choice of four. In addition, full-time students undertake a university-based project and part-time students undertake an industry based project.

An on-line study support system provides additional information and materials to facilitate student discussion. Careers and Further Study

Created in partnership with the Ford Motor Company, the programme is aimed at existing or prospective product development engineers and those working in manufacturing, particularly those working alongside product design personnel in the context of cross functional teams and simultaneous working practic

Requirements

First or upper second class honours degree or equivalent in engineering or physical sciences. In exceptional circumstances, lower academic standards may be compensated by experience in automotive industryAcceptable English language qualification:

* GCSE English Language - Grade C or above
* IELTS band 6.5 with not less than 6.5 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
* TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice) minimum score of overall with no less than 21 in Listening, 22 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 21 in Writing

A formal interview may take place, though this is not usually necessary.
