This programme meets the needs of recent developments in the global chemical industry through advancements of information technology (IT) and business management skills. It builds on the Department’s established strengths in computer modelling, process systems engineering, numerical modelling, computational fluid dynamics, finite element modelling, process control and development of software for process technologies, augmented by staff from other departments.
The programme aims to:
* provide in-depth understanding of IT skills required for advanced chemical processes
* raise students’ awareness of the global economy and strategic issues for engineering enterprises, together with basic concepts of management techniques applicable to running a production company, with emphasis on design activity.
All students are issued with a Personal Study Plan (PSP) at the beginning of the programme. Modules are normally taught within one/two week period.

All applicants must have an acceptable qualification in English language before they can be admitted to any postgraduate programme. Below are the main English language qualifications acceptable for entry to the University (these are the minimum and some departments may require higher levels):
