This programme has been established to allow students to develop knowledge of the issues, theories and methods appropriate to the transport sector from a travel planning perspective. Students will develop specialised knowledge in particular areas and/or aspects of sustainable transport and the travel planning process and an appreciation of the implications for best practice. Students study taught modules amounting to 120 credits and undertake a 60 credit research project. The research project will normally be developed with the student’s supervisor and employer (where appropriate) and address an issue in travel planning or transport sustainability.

Assessment
Most modules: exam 50%, coursework 50%. Project module: 60 credits.
