The programme draws on the Department’s expertise in the study of the European Union, its member states, and International Relations, focusing on policy and institutional analysis, with contemporary and professional relevance. They normally include a one week subsidised visit to the EU’s institutions in Brussels for all interested students.
Careers and Further Study
Graduates have gone into a wide variety of careers: public and international organisations in the UK and EU; business, teaching, the voluntary sector and further academic research.
Students study a combination of compulsory and optional modules. In addition, all MSc students undertake a 15,000 word dissertation on an approved subject related to the award for which they are registered.

Assessment
Modules are assessed by a combination of essays, group exercises, presentations and time constrained assignments.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testGood honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant social science or humanities discipline (politics, international relations, European studies and related fields).

* IELTS band 7.0 with not less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
